Meet STBC Instructor: Angela Cheatem

Angela serves as the Director of Community Engagement for STBC, leading outreach, strategic partnerships, and community-driven initiatives that increase access to workforce training, business development, and economic opportunities for high school seniors and adult learners. 

With more than 20 years of experience in the health insurance industry, Angela has held leadership roles in benefits education, strategic communications, and sales enablement. As a licensed Life and Health insurance professional, she is known for her ability to simplify complex information and build trusted relationships across diverse communities.

Angela is a graduate of Baker University and the Centurions Leadership Program. An active civic leader, she serves on the Foundations Board for Cornerstones of Care and volunteers as a reading mentor with Lead to Read KC. Recognized for her collaborative leadership style and commitment to equity, Angela is dedicated to creating pathways for individual and community success. Beyond her professional and volunteer work,  she's equally passionate about the joy and grounding she finds in spending time with her family, who remain at the heart of everything she does.
